The First Week

One week has passed since Sonya entered our lives. Though Catherine shows signs of interest in her little sister, she prefers to play with her Lego or toy castle. Robyn is recovering quickly with no small help from Glen. Sonya was given a clean bill of health at her 1 week check up. She's regained her birth weight + 1 lb! What a girl! We fear the future grocery bills.

Catherine and the Leaves

Since we are lacking in the leaf variety, we headed for Nana and Grandpa's to take a few fall pictures. Catherine had a great time running around their yard and sitting in a leaf pile Nana happily raked for her.
Okay...how fast can I do it this time?

What's this wet spot?

Leaves are fun!

I swear it wasn't me!

Sonya Ineke is here!

On October 19th (at 833 am) we welcomed our new daughter to the world. She weighed 6 lbs 13 oz (same as her mom!) and measured 20 1/2 inches. She was very good to her mother (only a 6 hour labour). So far, Catherine has been quite welcoming of her little sister, though it helps that dada is home for the next 2 weeks. We also just had our visit from the nurse and Sonya passed with flying colours!

Welcome to the world!
All fingers, toes and limbs accounted for!

Mmmm....these are good fingers.

Yes. I am cute.

Sonya just found out she wasn't allowed to drive

Glen's 29th Birthday

On October 13th, we celebrated Glen's 29th birthday at the Ellis household. Malcolm and Jacqueline provided the eats, a yummy chinese dinner. After opening gifts, we all enjoyed a piece of ice cream cake, decorated quite appropriately (good choice Caroline!).
Yum!

Welcome to the Hay Blog! I am just learning to use Blogger, so I will update when time permits. Hopefully, you will enjoy seeing our family grow and expand. Baby # 2 is due October 18th.

What a beautiful day! These pictures were taken at my aunt Donna's house in Bearspaw.
