July So Far

Probably the most interesting thing we've experienced in the last month has been the physical progress Sonya has made. She can crawl, pull herself up to standing and table/couch surf, which has made her parents very, very, very nervous (but proud). She also cut her first tooth (bottom left) and we wouldn't be surprised if tooth number two might arrive soon. There is certainly enough drool and finger chewing.

Catherine remains a fun, energetic and opinionated two year old. She loves to be outside, explore and travel anywhere. Not too much conflict between the sisters yet, although Sonya usually wants any toy Catherine touches. Thankfully, Catherine is a very giving child and doesn't usually take offence.

Here are a few scattered pictures of various visitors, family moments and a few yummy looking lobsters.

A good stretch

A rare moment - Catherine having a nap!

A nice cuddle with Nana & Grandpa's cat, Sampson

A crazy smile!

A cuddle with Tianna

A visit with Robyn's Cousin Lisa

There is a great field in Ranchlands to exercise little legs (mosquitoes permitting). Daddy has been prepping Sonya for our walks on the beach in Parksville - our next family vacation. She's doing pretty well too, although distractions do occur (i.e., grass).

Catherine doing what she loves best - running!

Doing a little post-run stretch

Come on Dad ... let me touch it just this once

Yay! I win. Was there any doubt?

Alex brought us over some lobsters from the east coast. Catherine showed no fear, even touched one. Once cooked, she refused even a small taste but that meant more for Mommy & Daddy. ;)

Showing off his claws

Almost dinner

A delicious meal - Thanks Alex!
