BC Trip - First Days

Our family just returned from a wonderful vacation in BC. The drive was as beautiful as always. We left at 430am and hit almost no traffic. It helped to leave on a Thursday. We made the drive in one day. Our girls are the best! Well, a few things helped. We borrowed Malcolm & Jacqueline's mini-van which came equipped with a DVD player. In went the Simpsons and Catherine was entertained for hours. We also had a bag of books from Nana and a few bags of unknown toys from auntie Caroline.

We arrived at Hanny & Arnt's (Glen's aunt & uncle) just after dinner. After an evening of unpacking, a chat with Hanny (Arnt, Veronica Jr. & her boys were in Norway) and wonderful sleep, we woke to a day with no plans aside from visiting with family. The girls, not to mention us, enjoyed H & A new deck (more pics to come).

In the evening, some family came over to Hanny's for dinner and a visit. To keep things simple for those who don't know, Jacqueline has 4 sisters: Hanny, Corry - didn't manage a visit with her this time around :( -, Marijke & Veronica Sr.

Hanny hosts a great party. We enjoyed a few homemade salads and desserts along with some yummy Sushi (so cheap in BC). I think we ate sushi nearly everyday. :)
