Last weekend, our littlest girl turned one year old. In the last year of her life, she has accomplished much. She has four teeth, will surf/walk holding onto anything or anyone. She says words like juice, mama, dada and has said yogurt. She'll kiss, cuddle and point. She is very vocal and very physical. She loves baths, juice, walking, playing with Catherine and eating. She hates whenever Catherine runs interference with her target (i.e., mommy, daddy, toy). In fact, the day after her birthday she made a huge leap from only taking a max of four steps to at least fifteen as she gave her mother a massive heart attack while walking towards a metal table we thought was relatively hidden away.
On her birthday, we went to Malcolm and Jacqueline's to celebrate, enjoying a lovely sushi dinner made by Glen along with Robyn's speciality, Miso soup, and some yummy appetizers from the Ellis family. Malcolm and Jacqueline provided the location, edamame and the beverages. Oh, did I mention they handled the clean up afterward? :)

Catherine happy with the choice of chocolate cake
Why eat the cake when you can turn it into mush?
That's right fingers....I'm going to eat you
Take that!
No survivors!
What are you doing Westley?

Chocolate birthday cake, does it get better than that?! Good thing she actually ate some after mashing it up!
