The "Favourite People" Party

Although Catherine doesn't have too many friends her age, she does have her "favourite people." We decided to invite everyone (not including family), whom with Catherine enjoys jumping, cuddling and playing. I must thank Devon (who couldn't make it) for the take home gifts for the kiddos. The girls loved dressing up in their cat tails & head bands.

As an activity, everyone had to make a cookie for the person next to them. The girls (Catherine & Rosa) made their own cookies. Catherine's M & M's kept disappearing off the plate. Hmmm...

Yay! Another SpongeBob ball! (Hence: no more fights over the ball when we go down to the river.)

Raul & Ameli also got her a computer.

The men working to set it up. The girls couldn't wait for it to be put together, so it was quite difficult to attach the tube. Though large....the girls absolutely adore it. Thanks Alex!

We'd like to thank everyone for coming to the party and for bringing such nice gifts. All are appreciated and well used!

May: The Month of Birthday Parties

With separate parties from both sides of the family and Catherine's friend party, I think Catherine had a pretty special month. I wouldn't say she's been spoiled rotten but she did claim most of May as being her birthday. And who would complain about having 4 chocolate birthday cakes? I didn't take too many pictures at Glen's parents' place (Caroline took most of them), so I'll post those a little later. Here are some from my side of the family:

Nice loud clappers....thanks Uncle Bryan

Woot! Spongebob balloon!

Nana lighting the candle

She is an expect at candle blowing now

Notice the unused fork?

Those fingers were liked clean at the end

Present time!

Dress up gifts from Uncle B

Sonya doing some modelling

Spongeball from Nana & Grandpa

Sonya loving Sampson....again

Just some nice pictures around the house

Catherine Turns Three Today!

Hard to believe but Catherine celebrated her third birthday today. She is 38.5 inches tall and 30 pounds. She already had a congratulatory phone call from her buddies, Raul & Ameli. They had a nice chat on the phone and I was surprised about how well she maintained the conversation. I wonder how soon we are going to get kicked off the phone so she can call her friends now.

Catherine talking to Raul & Ameli

She requested burger and fries for lunch and Chinese food for dinner. Can't complain about either of those. So after being well fed, we sang to her and let her eat chocolate cake! Is there any other kind?

Happy Birthday To You!

She got to blow out her candles twice (once for video, once for pictures). What a lucky girl. She asked us to sing the birthday song again too. :)

Nothing like dipping your finger in chocolate icing
