Most of the following pictures are taken around the pools and on the beach, which were where we spent our time when not eating ourselves silly. We didn't leave the resort once, despite our plans to travel to a few tourist spots. The main reason was because our girls were a bit too young to enjoy Coba with the highest pyramid in the Yucatan Peninsula (over 40 M high) or seeing Chitchen Itza which was a 2 1/2 hour drive away. The other issue we faced was what to do with the car seats when dropped off at the site. In the end, we figured we'd explore the sites when the girls are old enough to participate and not complain too much. :) Though we can't say the routine of spending day after day bouncing back and forth from the pools, the beach and the restaurant ever got old. The girls even got their own water park to play in.

Our daredevil. It took force to get her to even sit on the slide. She did go down a smaller one a few times at our first trip to the park but after that, she was content to simply walk around in the water and go up and down the stairs. Sonya had no qualms about anything, even after submerging on occasion.

Our last dinner at the resort was at the other Japanese restaurant, Balihai. In the center of each table was an area for your respective chef to come and cook dinner. It was quite an entertainment for everyone.

This was the last picture I took while we waited for the bus to take us to the airport. We can honestly say it was a very fun and warm vacation, without too many temper tantrums. It was mostly blue skies the entire time. We can't even claim more that a few drops of rain for our stay. We liked the Barcelo Mayan Palace enough to say that we might venture there again next year.
