BC - Part 1

Well....I don't know what else to say besides there has been some crazy activity for us in the last 6 months. We decided that we'd like to move and so that has been where all of our efforts have been. In the next few weeks, I hope to update the blog with the pictures that I missed since July. There are quite a few from our trip in late July to the BC coast. We enjoyed our visits with family and friends. To begin, here are some photos we took while setting off on our journey in the early morning hours. We, yet again, borroweding Glen's parents van and enjoyed (no really) unending hours of Dora on the mini-DVD player in the van.

Beautiful mountains

A few more early risers

Making it to Salmon Arm. First break of the trip.

Once arriving in BC, we paid a visit to a neighbouring park. Did I mention that on the drive down, temperatures past 30 degress C? Not even air conditioning could take all the heat/sweat off. So we didn't spend too much time at the park. Nevertheless, the girls made the best of the situation, as usual, and enjoyed themselves even though the slides were too hot to use.

Catherine showing little sister how it is done. "Remember to shoulder check"

Colouring on Hanny & Arnt's deck. Arnt bought this table because he thought, even though it is for fishing, that it would make a good table for kid activities. How right he was!

Up close with the artists

Welcome to a favorite game: Sweeping the deck! Could one of these two be an olympic curler in the making? Doubtful with the continued fighting over the brooms.

Another trip to the park. Temperatures were still in the high twenties but it was enough of a decrease to enjoy the sun.

Paying a visit to Veronica & Shawn's bunnies. Both girls enjoyed seeing these fuzzy bundles of cute, but only truly Catherine pet them. I couldn't remember all the names if I tried. ;)

So cute

Sonya getting kind of close. She is more of a cat person.

Hanny & Artn hosted a party for the family during our stay. We bought the sushi platers while they did the rest. Thanks again for everyone who came to chat and show off the new additions to the family.

Glen meeting Lilah for the first time. She, and parents Debbie & Eugene, were visiting from Montreal. Must have been nice for Grandparents, Kyo & Marijke, to have all the family together.
